Before DSMS Installation
A seawall (otherwise known as a bulkhead or retaining wall) is the first line of defense against the sea (or major body of water) protecting human habitation on the land. The seawall is critical in protecting the land from erosion; keeping your home, building, golf course or landscaping safe. Overtime the water’s force hurts the seawalls structure, and in some cases the seawall will begin to crumble and fail.
During the DSMS Installation
We use our patented dynamic seawall maintenance system to reinforce your seawall, extending its life by decades. The DSMS Eco Anchor is a helical screw that is installed waterside as a tie back for the seawall, giving it added support. A proprietary, custom designed bolster plate is then installed against the seawall.
The DSMS Eco Anchor (a helix earth screw) has been used for years in other industries, but has been adapted to provide the required tensile load capacity unique to seawalls.
Because our system is installed waterside, we don’t disrupt your landscaping and decrease installation time from weeks to 2 days.
